Ardeevin

Scoil Mhuire, Ardeevin is a three teacher school located 4 kilometres north of Glenamaddy and 5 kilometres from Williamstown. The Irish for Ardeevin is Ard Aoibhinn, meaning
‘Beautiful Height’. The school is situated on a watershed between the basins of the river Suck and the Clare river.

Staff

The staff of Ardeevin N.S. consists of Mr. Carney, Principal and Senior class teacher, Ms. Parsons is our SEN teacher, Ms. Meehan is our Junior class teacher, Ms. Hughes is our
shared SEN teacher who visits our school two days per week and Ms. Reilly is our full time Special Needs Assistant. We have visiting coaches for gaelic, rugby and chess throughout the school year.

Facilities

We have two large classrooms each equipped with an interactive whiteboard and visualizor, a computer room consisting of 20 computers plus a large GP hall, staff room/kitchen, office and toilet facilities. The school is wheelchair accessible. We have 2 playing fields and a small tarmac court for the pupils to play basketball on.
