We are very lucky to have a hurling coach , Ian, coming from Ballygar Hurling Club for the next few weeks to encourage an interest in the oldest Irish sport there is. They are really enjoying the clash of the ash.

The pupils enjoyed a review week of food dudes this week, sampling a different fruit and vegetable every day. They loved it.

We were delighted to have Tony from Glen Celtic Soccer Club come to the school each week to coach the pupils in soccer skills. This not only taught soccer skills, drills and rules, but Tony shared his expertise on teamwork, strategies and benefits of all exercise.

Thanks to Shiven FC for hosting a great day of soccer recently. We took part in a school 5-aside where boys and girls did really well and showed some great football and returned to a great welcome for their efforts as always.

Hopefully the weather will be nice to us for the next two weeks. We return to school on April 13th . The pupils managed to collect lots of chocolate eggs between the showers today on their Easter Egg Hunt. Wishing everyone a Happy Easter.

This year we welcomed a very lively bunch of nanas, grannys, nannies, grandmas, grandads, pops and grandas to Ardeevin. The pupils love the opportunity to perform for their grandparents and to thank them for all that they do for them. We in Ardeevin, also are very grateful to the grandparents that drop off, pick up, answer the phone when a child is sick and contribute so much to our school community.
