As part of our Active schools the pupils have been very busy the last couple of months
completing different activities in their groups. They have participated in challenges such as Tour
Around Europe, the Climb Around Europe skipping challenge, the Run Around Europe relay race
and they are currently completing the Advent Calendar activity chart. The pupils are really
enjoying these different activities and thanks to Ms. Parsons for organising these fun activities. #Active
In preparation to apply for our Active Schools Flag our Active School Committee, teachers and pupils have been very busy over the last few weeks and months carrying out different initiatives. Before the Summer we had ‘Football Free Friday’. This proved very popular amongst all the pupils and the Active Schools Committee along with Ms. Hughes did a great job each week coming up with different games, circuits and activities to keep everyone entertained and active. Work has begun on the application process for our Active Schools Flag and I would like to thank Ms. Hughes for kindly helping us with our application. To date we have organised as part of the process an Active School Committee and also Football Free Fridays which has proven very popular among all the pupils. On Wednesday we are having our ‘School Sports Day’. Medals will be presented on the day.

During that week we had our ‘School Sports Day’ which was a huge success. Medals will be presented on Monday. We went on a very informative ‘Bog Walk’ through which the children were actively learning. Ms. Parsons taught the children (and Mr. Carney) about the different plants and wildlife along the route. #Bog #
